I know this is not applicable to you all. but i can tell you a way how can you do the hand on practice on the unix while working on your windows system.
Pre-Requisite:
You must have a system on which linux must be in running state.
Copy this URL on web page and paste it.
http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe
Now run this putty software on your system
Like this it will run on your system , Now enter the IP of the linux system.
A window will be opened like this:
Now You can run the all the linux as well as unix commad on the terminal window.
